My name is Jim Fitzgerald, I work as a self employed computer programmer / consultant operating under the name of JF Computing Services. I specialise in data processing and analysis involving the interfacing of computers to laboratory instrumentation and industrial equipment,particularly in the field of nuclear radiation measurement.
During the past 6 years I have developed a Gamma Spectroscopy Analysis software package named FitzPeaks. This is used to identify and quantify the radionuclides present in spectral data files created by data acquisition equipment produced by various nucleonic equipment manufacturers.
I have also developed Radioactive Source Record keeping software named IsoInventory. This would be of use to universities and hospitals for example, to keep track of radioactive sources on site and to check for holding registration and disposal authorisation limits being exceeded.
